New Day is a Copenhagen-based production company specializing in feature films and serialized storytelling. The company aims to create and produce strong, personal voices in genre-bending fiction with artistic and social relevance for both the Danish and international markets.

We strive to empower storytellers and focus on building sustainable, long-lasting relationships with talent and co-production partners who share our deep passion for filmmaking. The company is driven by openness and respect, both in our approach to the people we work with and the projects we choose.

New Day was founded in 2024 by producers Marta Mleczek and Matilda Appelin, both of whom have a solid background in the Danish film industry.

New Day is currently developing several new fiction projects with international potential and social relevance, created by both up-and-coming and established Danish directors and scriptwriters.
